FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: immersible inlet nozzle for passing melt metal flow through it includes vertically arranged axially symmetrical inlet pipe with first cross section area. Pipe is communicated with diffuser transition portion having two or more front walls and two or more lateral walls. Transition portion provides reduction of first cross section area along thickness due to inclination of front walls by converging angle and increase of it along width due to inclination of lateral walls by diverging angle. It provides second cross section area of transition portion more than first one, being elongated and symmetrical in plane. Melt metal flow passing from transition portion is divided in division portion by two streams deflected from vertical line in opposite directions. At passing through such nozzle stability of melt metal flow is enhanced. It provides reduced oscillations of standing wave in casting mold. EFFECT: enhanced quality of ingot. 18 cl, 18 dwg
