FIELD: design of gyrocompasses and course indicating facilities of analytical type. SUBSTANCE: in process of gyrocompassing with use of gyroscopic transmitter of angular velocity under conditions of linear motion of object ground speed of object, its altitude are found and later angle of true course of object is computed with the help of analytical expression utilizing information on voltages from reference resistors of gyroscope and its drift, on inclination angles of planes of sensitivity axes of gyroscope in pitch and roll, on angular velocity of rotation of the Earth and latitude of location of object.
