FIELD: fine instrument-making.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used for making analytical type gyros. According to the method, gyro is exposed to first initial position at which position the measuring axis of gyro's first channel coincides with error of setting with longitudinal axis of object. Measuring axis of second channel of gyro coincides with axis of object directed to right board with setting error. Axis of self-rotation of gyro is directed with error of setting along axis of object belonging to plane of symmetry of object. Angles of inclination of plane of measuring axes of gyro are determined relatively plane of object related to its longitudinal axis and with axis directed to right board. Readings of first channel of gyro are taken off at gyro's preset angles of turn about its axis of self-rotation. Gyro is put back to initial position. Case of gyro is turned about longitudinal axis for angle being equal to π radian to second position and readings of first channel are taken from first channel of gyro at gyro's preset angles of turn about its axis of self-rotation. Then angle or true heading of object is found as average meaning of azimuth determined at first and second positions of gyro by means of analytical equations, which use readings of gyroscope, info on angles of inclination of object and angles of inclination of gyro relatively object, model of drift and latitude of object.
