FIELD: rolled stock production, namely apparatuses for axially moving working rolls, possibly in four- and six-high rolling stands of cold rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand includes frame, working and backup rolls with chocks, upper and lower guiding units mounted at inner side of stand struts with possibility of vertical motion and joined with lateral side of chocks of working rolls by means of spline joint. Hydraulic cylinders for counter-bending of working rolls and for balancing upper working roll are mounted in guiding unit. Each guiding unit includes grooves open to side of chocks and to side of roll change and arranged symmetrically relative to spline joint. =-shaped slides are placed in said grooves in such a way that they are flush-mounted relative to surface of guiding units. Flanges of slides have turnings for rigidly mounting housings of hydraulic cylinders for axially moving rolling rolls. Rods of said cylinders are connected with guiding unit. Slides have mechanisms for fixing them relative to chocks of rolling rolls. EFFECT: increased service life period of roll chocks, simplified maintenance. 3 dwg
