ROLLING MILL WORKING STAND Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: rolling equipment, namely working stands of sheet and wide strip rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: stand includes housings with stationary mounted hydraulic units, working rolls with chocks and assemblies for axially fixing rolls with latches and hydraulic cylinders. Said latches are mounted on horizontal members in ends of hydraulic units and closed by means of cover plates secured by bolts. Heads of said bolts are arranged in grooves of guide walls. Said latches are provided with eyes connected through axles with rods of hydraulic cylinders mounted in parallel to latches and jointly connected with stationary supports with possibility of rotation in horizontal plane in direction from latches. Said stationary supports have stepped bases mounted in guides of latches and secured to them by means of bolts with smooth cylindrical stems arranged in openings of bases of said supports. EFFECT: high quality of rolled strips, lowered number of rejected pieces, less loss of yield, increased operating life period and reduced consumption of rolls and bearings, decreased number of emergency idling periods, enhanced efficiency of rolling mill. 5 dwg
