FIELD: storage and transportation of compressed gas. SUBSTANCE: proposed vessel has outer envelope and inner envelopes arranged inside it together with pipe line fittings for charging and discharging compressed gas. Working pressure of gas inside inner envelopes exceeds that in outer envelope. Inner envelopes are fitted at similar or different distance from axial lines or centers of symmetry from axial line or center of symmetry of outer envelope. At least two inner envelopes are mounted at clearance relative to each other and relative to outer envelope; all or some inner envelopes are mounted for contact with each other and with inner envelope. EFFECT: increased gas-containing capacity of vessel; reduced specific usage of metal; enhanced operational safety. 6 cl, 8 dwg, 3 tbl
