FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has removable reduction mechanism for performing axial compression and distraction of bone fractures having distance member mounted between plate ends. At least two guiding rods are symmetrically fixed in the distance member. Movable crosspiece is mounted on the guiding rods. Lead screw is fixed on the distance member, which geometrical axis is in parallel relation to guiding rod axes and threaded opening of the movable crosspiece. The device has at least two holders, each having hollow casing having internal cylindrical surface which axis coincides with one of the tightening screw, and upright on the lateral surface of the casing with a hole having threaded in some part. Washers are set under the head and under the tightening screw to fix the holder in the direction of axial displacement along the tightening screw. The number of washer corresponds to the number of holders. Latch is mounted in the holder casing. It is used for fixing the holder in the direction of axial displacement along the tightening screw. One end of each of two lateral tie rods for moving the thrust frames is fixed on movable crosspiece and the other one is attached to the holder by means of clamping member.
