FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: device includes antenna to detect at least one external signal source, motor to rotate antenna, low-noise amplifier to amplify at least one external signal detected by antenna, analyzer of spectrum of measurement of at least one signal characteristic of amplified signal and processor to control motor and spectrum analyzer. Method includes stages of reception of at least one external signal through directional antenna rotated by motor, amplification of detected external signal by low-noise amplifier, analysis of amplified signal by spectrum analyzer and presentation of analyzed signal on screen. Screen shows location of radio interference source and at least one measurement of single characteristic of at least one external signal. In addition method includes stages of conversion of scanning rate of directional antenna to time azimuth and measurement of at least one characteristic of analyzed signal in corresponding time azimuth.
