SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and concerns treatment of acute apical periodontitis. For this, a method of single-session treatment, including local anesthesia and mechanical treatment of the root canals of the tooth, is proposed. Instead of irrigation channels with antiseptic solutions and their temporary filling, a one-time session of copper-calcium hydroxide depophoresis at a dose of 10 mA⋅min at a current value of 2 mA. Then, a double impact on the root canals of a direct focused beam of cold argon plasma is performed for 15–20 seconds, as well as a beam reflected from the surface of the reflector tool, moved along the channels at a speed of 1 mm in 20–25 seconds. At the conclusion of the session, no later than 45 seconds after the action of plasma, a permanent filling of the channels is carried out.

EFFECT: method provides a one-stage active electroosmotic purification with subsequent decontamination of the spaces of the root dentin and periapical foci of inflammation, which allows for the treatment of periodontitis in one visit.
