FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry. The method for diagnosing the viability of the pulp during treatment of initial pulpitis consists in analysing the protein spectrum of the gingival fluid in the area of the examined tooth. If the activity of the alkaline phosphatase enzyme is increased above 31.5 IU/l and the activity of the lactate dehydrogenase enzyme is increased above 25.97 IU/l, and the alkaline phosphatase/lactate dehydrogenase ratio is greater than 2.0, pulp inflammation is determined as reversible with positive prognostic indicators, and if the alkaline phosphatase/lactate dehydrogenase enzyme ratio is less than 1.0, irreversible inflammatory changes in the tissues of the pulp of the examined teeth are diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention allows for an objective evaluation of the condition of the dental pulp, good reproducibility of the results, intravital non-invasive diagnostics of the pulp condition in any clinical situation.
