FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying mechanical body skin treatment. Electromyographic examination is carried out before beginning the treatment for determining functional state of dorsum muscles. Then bandage is applied. The bandage is a ribbon bearing blocks with cylindrical protrusions having hemispheric surface at the top. The bandage is brought over both suprabrachial zones through axillary areas crossing it in interscapular area placing the protrusions on the frontal surface of the brachial articulations. Electromyographic examination is periodically carried out. The area subjected to block protrusion action is determined from increased bioelectric activity of dorsum muscles. It makes 70-90% when compared to the initial value. Time required for wearing the bandage is determined from stable increase in electromyographic values by 40-50% relative to the initial level. The bandage for treating degenerative dystrophic diseases and traumas of the vertebral column has fabric ribbon having blocks fixable thereon. The blocks have two halves on the working surface of which cylindrical protrusions with hemispheric surface at the top are uniformly spaced. One half of the block has latch. Triangular protrusions are spaced over the surface of the other block half-adjacent to the ribbon.
