FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed meter is intended to measure linear displacement with the aid of Hall transmitters. Salient feature of invention lies in placement of Hall element between two elements mounted for joint movement with it, made of magnetically soft material and having form of truncated pyramids facing Hall element with small bases. In this case area of small bases equal area of Hall element and area of great base of pyramids has values determined by bulge of magnetic lines of force in clearance between magnets. In addition greater bases of pyramids are placed at angle of α/2 with bisector of angle between side faces of magnets so that bases remain parallel to side faces of prisms while Hall element moves in clearance between magnets and angle α is equal to angle between these faces.
