FIELD: machine tool manufacture, namely hydrostatic supports for guides. SUBSTANCE: hydrostatic support includes movable and stationary members. Movable member has supply duct and recess for mounting insert with throttling passage in lateral surface. Movable member is mounted with possibility of reciprocation motion relative to vertical axis of support and it includes draining duct. Draining and supply ducts are arranged at opposite sides of recess and they are shifted one relative to another. Supply duct is arranged in front of throttling passage of sleeve rested by its lower end surface onto stationary member. EFFECT: reduced possibility for attraction of abrasive particles, lowered wear. 3 cl, 1 dwg
