FIELD: preparation of polyamide. SUBSTANCE: method comprises crystallizing or recrystallizing adipic acid having minimum purity of 95% containing traces of metals in at least one carboxylic acid having melting temperature of lower than 20 C. Purification is carried out in the presence of carbon monoxide or strong protonic acid. Method makes it possible to obtain purification degree close to 100%.
