FIELD: chemical processing of wastes of coke and by-product process and rubber-containing articles. SUBSTANCE: method includes delivery of solid and viscous-flow wastes into charge for coking. Solid and viscous-flow wastes are mixed with rubber-containing crumb at ratio of 1: 2-1: 0.5 and are delivered to charge for coking in the amount of 3-5% of charge. Heavy coal-tar products, sediment from storehouses and resin settlers, pitch, resin fractions from liquid pitch transportation tanks, ammonium columns and ammonia water storehouses are used as solid and viscous-flow wastes. EFFECT: facilitated process; improved labor conditions; improved quality of metallurgical coke. 2 cl, 3 tbl
