FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed device being hardware has housing with lock mechanism, pin-detent, shell with central hole of automobile steering wheel shaft and holes for pin-detent. Device has also holder with concave upper surface rigidly secured on housing. Concave upper surface can be mated with cylindrical surface of shell provided with hole for accommodating spring-loaded detent square to hole in shell in which upper part of eccentric can get and which is made coaxially to hole in holder which accommodates eccentric proper. Lower part of eccentric is secured on surface of lock mechanism and is provided with slot for key. Pin-detent is rigidly fitted on concave surface of holder and it can get into hole of protective plate installed on inner side of automobile body. EFFECT: increased resistance to breaking. 5 dwg
