FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed two- stroke internal combustion engine has cylinder with scavenging ports and operating piston with projection arranged in cylinder, head with hollow projection provided with outlet channel, combustion chamber made in form of ring space formed by piston, cylinder and its head, and underpiston chamber with intake device. Projection of piston is made for movement in hollow projection of head and is provided with ports through which combustion chamber communicates with space in head projection when piston is near top dead center. Pressure piston arranged on cylinder head forms, together with projection of piston, a pressure chamber placed in communication with combustion chamber through additional channel. Additional channel made in cylinder communicates with device through which rich mixture is fed and, through channel is piston, with pressure chamber, when piston is in bottom dead center. Pressure piston is provided with cooling device. EFFECT: improved reliability of engine operation, increased service life, reduced fuel consumption and toxicity of exhaust gases. 1 dwg
