FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: two-stroke internal combustion engine has two cylinders 1,2 and pistons 3,4 with rods 5,6 operating in antiphase. Exhaust valves 7 and 8 and devices 9 and 10 for injecting fuel are mounted in the top covers of each cylinder 1,2. The engine has by- passes 11 and 12 with gates 13 and 14. The inlet of each by-pass is positioned in the bottom covers of cylinders 1 and 2. The outlet of each by-pass is positioned inside the combustion chambers and tangentially to the side surface of the cylinders. The bottom covers of the cylinders are provided with outlet valves 15 and 16. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
