FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: mixture of goudron and heavy catalytic gas oil at ratio (0.6-0.4):(0.4-0.6) is subjected to delayed coking. As process progresses, density of mixture is adjusted to at least 0.989 g/cu. cm to form heavy coke gas oil. 30 to 70% of heavy catalytic gas oil in initial raw mixture is substituted by heavy coke gas oil and thus obtained mixture is coked. Product contains 5.9- 6.5% volatiles, 0.0129-0.0150% vanadium, and no more than 1.5% sulfur. EFFECT: improved characteristics of product. 1 tbl, 4 ex
