METHOD FOR FILLING GROUND STRUCTURES IN WINTER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: construction of structures by filling; construction of roads and drilling sites at subzero temperatures. SUBSTANCE: method involves ground excavation in reservoir, transportation of sand-water mixture by means of suction dredge through lanes formed in ice over pipeline, and layer-by-layer placement of ground on building site at sub-zero ambient temperatures; serial rows of holes are made for example by drilling holes on building site. Then holes are filled with sand-water mixture which is condensed to form supporting sand piles; layer-by-layer placement of ground is effected on site consolidated by sand piles, thickness of layers is maximum 10 cm. After placing each layer of ground the latter is dewatered by natural freezing of hydraulic mixture keeping certain time intervals between layer placing. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption and enhanced reliability due to reduced time for erecting and subsidence probability upon thawing. 1 dwg
