FIELD: manufacture of engine. SUBSTANCE: method consists in delivery of fuel and air (combustible mixture) to semiclosed detonation resonance chamber of thrust unit at oxidizer-to-fuel ratio of α2 = 0,8-1,2 and fuel combustion process is performed in pulsating mode. Fuel and air (oxidizer) are fed to detonation resonance chamber in two flows: air flow and flow of activated propellant (combustible mixture) obtained through oxidation of propellant with air at oxidizer-to-fuel ratio of α1<0,1. Device for realization of this method includes detonation resonance chamber, chamber for forming flow of combustion mixture with components for delivery of mixture to detonation resonance chamber and to air flow forming chamber. Combustion mixture forming chamber and detonation resonance chamber are located inside air flow forming chamber, coaxially relative to it forming slot where annular nozzle for supply of air to detonation resonance chamber is located.
