FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: procedure measuring phase distribution of multiple element cruciform interferometer can be employed in various two-dimensional interferometers. Technical objective of invention consists in reduction of mean-square errors of phase distribution of signals in aperture to 5-6 degrees which markedly improves radiation pattern of cruciform interferometer and in its turn diminishes errors of analysis of structure of two- dimensional images of active regions in the Sun. Besides that this procedure diminishes time of obtainment of phase distribution over entire aperture by factor of ten. Procedure consists in analysis of spectrum of image of small local source in the Sun constructed in system of coordinates of direction cosines where phase distortions in antenna-feeder path manifest themselves in parallel to axes of coordinates of spectrum of spatial frequencies of corresponding interferometers ( East-West, North- South ). EFFECT: minimization of mean-square errors of phase distribution of signals.
