FIELD: ac-to-dc voltage conversion for feeding electronic or electrical equipment. SUBSTANCE: converter has diode bridge connected to ac supply mains through first capacitor that functions to reduce supply voltage across pulse regulator or converter. Voltage Uon built up across second capacitor used for filtering rectified voltage upon turning on the converter drives in conduction first transistor that passes dc voltage to regulator. Magnitude of Uon depends on stabilizing voltage of first regulator. Picking off ac voltage reduces input voltage of regulator. As soon as it drops to Uoff value depending on stabilizing voltage of second regulator, fifth transistor stops passing current which drives in conduction fourth transistor followed by cutting off transistors forming transistor analog of thyristor. This de-energizes the converter. So converter uses two voltage threshold levels Uon and Uoff for setting on- and off-operation moments. EFFECT: provision for eliminating self-excited oscillations in switching modes of operation of regulator or converter. 2 dwg
