FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding product for fixed time interval from bin into measuring vessel of rated volume through feeder; filling measuring vessel and supplying measured dose of product from measuring vessel to discharge position. During feeding, product in bin is subjected to compression by applying uniform pressing force thereto. Time of interrupting the supplying of product from bin into measuring vessel is determined, when product is forced from measuring vessel into auxiliary vessel connected thereto, with product passing between two mentioned vessels by hydraulic resistance. Apparatus has measuring vessel, auxiliary vessel communicated to measuring vessel, and throttling washer, which makes barrier for product in passage between measuring and auxiliary vessels. Charging bin is equipped with device adapted for applying uniform pressing force to product inside it and is made in the form of pneumatic cylinder and pressure plate provided with guides. Method allows dosage cycle time to be adjusted by visually controlling of charging measuring vessel with product.
