TIE REPLACING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way repair and maintenance. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has column 1 turnable around vertical axis with hinge-mounted boom 3 carrying articulated handle 4 with tie gripper 5 installed on handle for turning in vertical and horizontal planes. Bellcrank 5 is hinge-mounted on boom 3. One arm of bellcrank is hinge-connected with hydraulic cylinder 7 designed for turning boom 3, and second arm is hinge-connected with tie rod 8 which is hinge-coupled with handle 4. tie gripper 5 is connected with boom 3 by means of tie-rods 9, 10 and lever 11 hinge-connected with handle. EFFECT: provision of rectilinear horizontal travel of tie gripper when taking tie out of track or fitting it in track. 2 cl, 2 dwg
