FIELD: methods of embarkation and debarkation of heavy cargoes. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes securing the ship to berth; ship rests on horizontal surface of berth through bearing shoes mounted on extended brackets in aft portion of ship; level of ship's deck is aligned with level of horizontal surface by means of vertical adjustment of bearing shoes followed by ballasting the ship through filling her bottom pontoon and moving the object by means of shipboard trolleys with the aid of tractive winches. During embarkation/debarkation, horizontal position of deck is strictly maintained by emptying or filling the ballast compartments beginning with that which is located at maximum distance from berth, after which embarkation of debarkation procedure is continued. Device used for realization of this method is additionally provided with two bearing shoes provided with hinged supports mounted on extended bracket secured in aft portion of ship. These brackets are adjustable in height. Ship is provided with automated system for control of horizontal position of ship's deck including trim indicator and actuating mechanisms for control of drives of ballast system pumps and tractive winches.
