FIELD: materials handling facilities; electric hoists. SUBSTANCE: proposed electric rope hoist has lifting mechanism and travel-motion mechanism with drive and idle trolleys furnished with crossmembers secured on trolley cheeks and interconnected by shackles. Crossmember of drive trolley is made hollow. Shackles are fixed on lifting mechanism housing and are connected with cross-members of travel-motion mechanism by means of ball joints. Limiting clamps are hinge-mounted on shackles for engagement with faces of crossmembers which are fixed on cheeks. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions. 4 dwg
