FIELD: construction engineering, particularly, methods of tunnel construction. SUBSTANCE: method is applicable in construction of low-depth tunnels under acting main traffic arteries without interruption of traffic in them, under complicated mining and geological conditions with presence of watered grounds in tunnel base. Method of tunnel construction includes formation of protective screen in ground, injection consolidation of ground in internal space of contemplated tunnel and from outside of it with formation of injection piles under tunnel base, subsequent working of consolidated ground in internal space of contemplated tunnel and tunnel lining. Novelty consists in that consolidation and working of ground are carried out by tiers with formation of leading overlaying bench and, at least, one underlying bench located under overlaying one. In this case, preliminary consolidation of ground in zone of overlaying tier is effected with formation of reinforced structure of ground with compression strength exceeding the compression strength of ground reinforced structure in underlying tier. Technical result ensured by offered invention consists in increased of reliability and safety of working of ground preliminary consolidated by injection in construction of tunnel under main traffic artery without interruption of traffic in it, under complicated mining and geological conditions with presence of loose watered grounds in base of constructed tunnel due to exclusion of development of settling of tunnel base and day surface exceeding permissible values, and also reduced power and material consumption and labor input due to optimization of process of injection consolidation of ground.
