FIELD: mechanical engineering; cutting tools with saw chain. SUBSTANCE: proposed chain saw driving sprocket has hub, guide disk and catching rims coupled by flexible cylindrical rods fitted in holes located on sprocket pitch circle. Each flexible rod has cylindrical hole whose axis is parallel to axis of flexible rod and is displaced relative to rod axis to side opposite to direction of rotation of sprocket by value equal to 0.3 of flexible rod diameter. Ratio of diameter of flexible rod to sprocket pitch circle diameter is 0.12-0.14. Metal pin with rounded off heads thrusting by flat surfaces against end faces of flexible rod is installed in each hole of flexible rod. Ratio of diameter of pin to diameter of flexible rod is 0.24-0.3. Ratio of diameter of pin to diameter of pin head is 0.4-0.5. EFFECT: improved reliability and operating conditions, increased service life of saw cutting chain and its driving sprockets. 2 dwg
