FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has column fixed to felling machine, upper and lower levers mounted on felling machine for rotation by power cylinders and adapted for gripping tree trunk to be cut through, and cutting-through mechanism equipped with cutting tool moved by drive. Cutting-through mechanism has horizontal frame positioned under column and having rear end cooperating with drive and front end made open and defined by parallel beams carrying longitudinal guides. Cutting-through tool is made in the form of blade movable by drive and defined by parallel sides attached to longitudinal bars mounted for longitudinal displacement in guides on frame beams, rear transverse side and front side formed by edges diverging from zone adjoining blade rear side to longitudinal bar ends and faced to tree trunk to be cut through.
