FIELD: technology of water treatment. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the combined methods of water treatment using ozonization, ultraviolet irradiation and chemical reagents. Method of treatment of swimming pool return water involves the first stage of filtration, the second stage of ozonization and the third stage of disinfection by UV-irradiation. The additional fourth stage involves water treatment with a solution containing diamminargenate ions [Ag(NH₃)₂]⁺ produced by water electrolysis in electrolyzer device at periodical change of electrodes comprising 99 wt.-% of silver, not less and the following addition of gaseous ammonia or ammonia water at condition of 3-5% excess of ammonia to stoichiometry. Indicated solution is dosed to water in the amount corresponding to silver concentration 0.001-0.01 mg/l in water and under the control of ratio of concentration of ozone adding at the second stage and concentration of silver adding at the fourth stage in the range = (100-500:1, respectively. Method provides a possibility of its using at condition of increased level of pathogenic microorganisms, viruses and fungi. Invention can be used, for example, for disinfection of swimming pool return water.
