FIELD: progressive manufacturing processes for making manganese-containing ferroalloys, namely plasma-arc heating and melting of charge materials. SUBSTANCE: method allows to control electric current intensity of each electric arc along circle of electron decay in range (300-900)A at frequency 1x1•10-2Hz -1•10-5Hz. It is possible to treat finely divided and dust-like charge for making high quality ferroalloys, to reduce specific consumption of electric energy by (15-20)%, to increase melting efficiency by (17-20)% and to enhance manganese assimilation degree by (3-5)%.
