FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrometallurgy of steel, and more particularly to the smelting of steel in an electric steelmaking unit of the ladle furnace type. Method involves loading a metallized raw material, loose and powdered materials through hollow graphitized electrodes, while the technological processes for the production of liquid steel are carried out simultaneously with a two-stage afterburning of combustible gases by oxygen jets in the flow of process gases leaving the ladle to the flue located in the arch, herewith the first afterburning stage is carried out between the said electrodes by means of a double-stage multi-nozzle oxygen tuyere installed in the arch with a sensor of EMF and the temperature located autonomously at the end of the tuyere body, and the second stage is carried out before the flue under the arch of the unit by means of a device with a multi-nozzle tip installed in the said flue. Distributed heating and melting of metal charge and metallized pellets, loose and powdered materials by electric arcs and torches from fuel-oxygen burners (FOB) in the ladle by placing the FOB outside the space created by the diameter of the electrodes decay, and at the same time thermal and technological processes of steel melting are carried out with the delivery of the charge, loose and gas streams required according to the schedule.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the technology of steelmaking and the product quality, to reduce the energy intensity of the smelting and processing of steel, to increase the productivity of the ladle furnace unit.
