FIELD: equipment for external starting of internal combustion engines of transport facilities, armored objects in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed power unit includes generator connected with drive motor, control console with electronic regulator of generator external characteristic and starting unit energy accumulators made in form of capacitors with double electric layer, power connector for connecting external consumers or energy sources which includes current-limiting resistor and forced discharge switch. Generator, drive motor and control console are structurally combined in detachable supply unit; starting unit is provided with additional power connector for connecting external consumers or energy source and switch for disconnecting charge accumulators from said external sources; current-limiting resistor and charge switch are connected in series forming charging circuit between accumulator leads and power connector leads. Power unit is made in form of self-contained detachable module. EFFECT: high starting readiness of unit at low temperatures. 5 cl, 1 dwg
