OPHTHALMIC DEVICES INCORPORATING PHOTONIC ELEMENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F9/00 A61F2/14 G02C1/00 G02C7/04

Abstract RU 2650578 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic device located on the eye or in the eye, for projecting light into the eye, comprising: the first photon emitter for receiving light and transmitting at least some of the received light; a light providing source; electronic component, which provides the application of electrical potential to the light source; and a battery, that provides energy to an electronic component, the size and shape of the battery allowing it to occupy the position between the surface of an eye and the user's eye-lid during use. Another version of an ophthalmic device located on the eye or in the eye, for projecting light into the eye, comprising: within the ophthalmic device, a projection system comprising: a photon emitter for receiving and transmitting at least a portion of the received light, a light providing source, an light modulating element and a lens element; the first element of the power, placed inside the ophthalmic device; an electronic circuitry, that internally controls the ophthalmic device with a communication protocol for wireless communication with a signal source located outside the ophthalmic device; an electronic circuit, that processes data in a format for transmission to a projection system, wherein the projection system encodes the data as a phase characteristic of the emitted light. Photon emitter can contain a resistance heater.

EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will allow expanding the arsenal of technical means, namely ophthalmic devices, located on the eye or in the eye, for projecting light into the eye.
