FIELD: mining, particularly, designs of rock-cutting tools. SUBSTANCE: diamond crown bit consists of matrix and body accommodating radial water courses. They are made in the form of truncated cone with widening toward body external wall. Wear-resistant inserts are installed behind running-off part of each water course, in recesses on body external wall. Height of wear-resistant inserts is equal to or larger than diameter of outlet holes of water courses, and for diameter D, by two opposite installed inserts, the following condition is fulfilled: Dк≤ D < Dм, where Db and Dm are diameters of body and matrix of crown bit.
