FIELD: mass flowmeters. SUBSTANCE: Coriolis effect flowmeter has rotor unit located in housing and provided with one central axis of rotation. Rotor unit includes many passages; each passage runs from external circumference of rotor unit to central cavity of rotor unit to flowmeter outlet. Rotor unit rotates around central axis as material passes through passages. Coriolis forces generated by flowing material and simultaneous rotation of rotor make flexible members which are part of rotor unit blades deflect. Strain gases or sensing coils and magnets generate output signals indicating amount of angular deflection and mass flow rate of material. Motor connected with rotor unit may rotate rotor at increased speed, thus making it possible to use flowmeter as pump generating output signals which show pump flow rate. EFFECT: simplified construction; enhanced strength of device due to avoidance of bearings and torsion bar. 17 cl, 10 dwg
