FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of change of inherent frequency of vibrating tube with growth of specific mass flow rate. Density of material is determined by period of vibration of tube. Gear for realization of method includes flowmeter carrying vibrating tubes, aid determining period of vibration and aid forming values of density in correspondence with period of vibration. EFFECT: provision for compensation independent of density of measured material, provision for compensation for change of density depending on specific mass flow rate of material which itself makes up for effect of temperature changes on compensation. 17 cl, 7 dwg
