FIELD: food-concentrates industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has housing, wetting chamber, cooking chamber composed of stepped sections with netted bottom, drying chamber arranged under cooking chamber, ready product discharge chamber, wetting devices, fan with recirculation pipe and heating member. Cooking chambers have continuous side walls and bar and are arranged between runs of chain conveyor. Triangular followers and product layer levelers are located on chain conveyor. Upper end of bars is in contact with followers to provide for vibrating motion of sections and transfer of product from one section to another. Product layer leveler is made in the form of plate with rollers mounted at both edges thereof for moving on stepped slots formed in housing. Rod arranged centrally of leveling plate is attached to chain conveyor through sleeve with spring located therein. Protective shield is positioned above idle run of chain conveyor. Drying chamber has netted surface rigidly attached to housing at charging side and arranged so as to move from charging side by means of mechanism enabling movement of pivot hinges joined to netted surface along arced slots. Apparatus is used for producing groats which do not require cooking, as well as leguminous. EFFECT: increased efficiency due to complete utilization of heat-carrier energy, compact and simplified construction, reduced heat losses during cooking and drying processes. 7 dwg
