FIELD: food engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has body, charging and discharge hoppers, and drive. Body is positioned for performing vibratory motions in the process of cooking and is composed of two sectors comprising perforated bottom and positioned for displacement one relative to another. Housing is attached on the outside to perforated cylindrical bottom and is equipped with branch pipe connected to flexible hose. Ends of both sectors are covered with plates. Shafts are rigidly fixed in lower parts of sectors. Pneumatic cylinder is pivotally mounted on said shafts for moving both sectors. One of plates is connected through lever to adjustable drive. Branch pipe with movable screw-type conveyor for charging basic product is positioned on upper part of other plate. Each sector is closed at the top part thereof with cover and is pivotally connected to tubular shaft with perforated liquid supplying pipe inside it. Apparatus may be used for cooking and drying food products, for example, for producing ready-to-eat and dried groats, as well as for mixing, washing, blanching, frying, drying of food products such as carrot, beet, potato etc. EFFECT: increased efficiency by useful employment of hydrodynamic product treatment mode, elimination of intermediate conveyance operations, simplified and compact construction and improved quality of ready product. 7 dwg
