FIELD: machine engineering, possibly determination of efforts necessary for plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of making model whose shape in plan view is geometrically similar to that of metallic part to be made; simulating shape of epure of summed contact efforts at pouring fine-grain loose material onto surface of model until formation of extreme quantity of poured material; determining volume of extreme quantity of poured material and slide angle of it; determining necessary effort of press according to condition providing exceeding of its value by epure value of summed contact efforts received from given relation; using strength easy-to-cut material for making model; using material with almost spherical particles as fine-grain loose material.
