FIELD: means for cleaning of open water basins and stream flows from oil and oil products. SUBSTANCE: oil-sorbing boom is made of tubular member with core of polymer material ensuring boom buoyancy. Located round core is tubular shell of hydrophobic and oleophilic nonwoven material possessing high oil-sorbing ability. Nonwoven material has three-layer structure whose external layers feature higher density than that of internal layer. Tubular shell is embraced by hose net of polymer threads.
