FILTER NECK Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: filler neck has body with pipe union and seat, lock and sealing members. Fitted on outer surface of body is cap with taper projections found on its internal surface which coincide with circular concentric bores having sharp edges which are made on external surface of body. Mounted on external surface of cap at point where projections are made is bush made from "shape memory" material which is engageable with stop found on body. Additional seat of lesser diameter is made between main and additional seats. EFFECT: possibility of testing the joints for tightness without pressurizing the fuel reservoir and without special test valves; enhanced tightness of filler neck. 4 dwg
