FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: drain-and-relief valve refers to the machine building industry, namely, to the valves building, and is designed to discharge excess gases from cryogenic fuel tanks with the permissible pressure exceeding therein and can be used in pneumatic and hydraulic systems of various industries. Drain-and-relief valve is equipped with a mechanism for the valve transferring from the low-pressure operation mode into the high-pressure operation mode and back. Proposed design allows remote resetting of the safety valve included into the drain and relief valve from the reduced setting of the pressure level to the increased one and back by means of the electric drive: when preparing at the launch complex and in flight at the propulsion system operation segment in the mode is increased setting, in flight in pauses is the lowered setting. Reducing the setting in the pause makes it possible to store the cryogenic components in the tanks at reduced pressures, which reduces the components heating up and their evaporation. Lower setting or the valve slight opening (with intensive evaporation) allows to perform the excess steam intensive discharge without the drainage safety valve forced periodic opening in the drainage mode, which allows to avoid the orbital launch provision system engines switching on to create a longitudinal overload before and during the drainage process.
EFFECT: use of the invention as part of the accelerating unit with the fuel cryogenic components ensures a reduction in the cryogenic components (oxygen, hydrogen) loss by evaporation, leakage, consumption for "effervescence", reduction of fuel reserves in the orbital launch provision system for the low thrust engines operation to create longitudinal overload with forced drainages of tanks.
