FIELD: electric communications; frame synchronization of messages in digital data transmission systems. SUBSTANCE: character- group and marker coincidence code is generated for each group of input sequence characters in the form of phase shift of input-sequence character group being analyzed relative to reference marker combination including errors superimposed on input sequence in channel. Then phases of separate input sequence groups are compared . Decision on presence of frame synchronization marker combination in input sequence is taken in case of input sequence shift by K (K > 1) binary characters with phase coincidence of separate input sequence groups. EFFECT: enhanced speed of frame synchronization separation. 2 cl
