FIELD: electrical communications; frame synchronization of messages in digital data transfer systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes conversion of received input sequence in the form of binary character combination from serial to parallel code, its comparison with reference combination of marker characters, generation of coincidence code with group of characters of reference marker character combination corresponding to separated group of input sequence characters, generation of total coincidence code of input sequence and reference marker character combination, whereupon frame synchronization marker is checked for presence in input character sequence; remaining characters are obtained by phase shift for second separated group of input sequence characters, and total coincidence code is determined by comparing characters obtained from reference marker character combination with remaining characters of input sequence.

EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced noise immunity.
