FIELD: material cutting, namely, turret type milling of outer and inner surfaces of rotating blanks. SUBSTANCE: method for forming spherical surface by means of non-profiled tool comprises steps of subjecting blank and tool to rotation around their own axes; sharpening tool in such a way that to obtain tore surface at its rotation. Rotation axis of tool crosses rotation axis of blank by angle α>0, and both axes are arranged in the same plane. Spherical surface of one radius is formed segment-by-segment at each separate revolution of blank. EFFECT: enhanced quality of parts, increased efficiency due to working different-radius spheres by the same tool. 9 dwg
