AUTOMOBILE WITH GAS TURBINE ENGINE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2184257 C1

FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: automobile with gas turbine engine has starting electric motor with centrifugal clutch, step-down reduction gear and gas turbines mounted on common shaft in separate housing closed by covers. One end of shaft is coupled with centrifugal clutch and the other is connected with driving shaft of step-down reduction gear. Intake and outlet channels of each gas turbine are interconnected by pipeline provided with cooler and union with shutoff cock mounted from outside and connected with compressed hydrogen cylinder and accommodating gas ionizer, accelerating system and converter. Inner spaces of gas turbines and pipelines are filled with hydrogen under pressure which serves as working medium. Gas ionizers, accelerating systems and converter of gas turbines are electrically connected with nuclear (isotopic) high-voltage batteries through switching device mechanically connected with accelerator pedal. EFFECT: improved fire safety of automobile, reduced discharge of harmful substances into atmosphere, no time wasting for filling. 11 dwg
