GAS TURBINE ENGINE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; gas turbine engines. SUBSTANCE: gas turbine engine has gas turbines, starting electric motor and step-down reduction gear. Gas turbines are insulated from each other and are mounted on one shaft. One end of shaft is connected through centrifugal clutch with starting motor and other end of shaft is connected with drive gear of step-down reduction gear. Inlet and outlet channels of each gas turbine are interconnected by pipeline. Pipeline is provided with outside mounted gas cooler and union and shutoff, and with ionizer, accelerating system and converter installed inside. Inner spaces of each gas turbine and each pipeline are filled with hydrogen under pressure which serves as working medium. Gas ionizers, accelerating systems and gas turbine converter are connected to nuclear high voltage batteries. EFFECT: no adverse effect on environment, no thermal losses. 9 dwg
