FIELD: electrical engineering; dc motors. SUBSTANCE: gas-tube motor has frame with end plates, armature, and terminal box. Novelty is that armature is made in the form of several gas turbines isolated from each other, placed in cases closed with lids, and mounted on common shaft one of whose extensions is mounted in bearing housing. Inlet and outlet ducts of each gas turbine are interconnected through pipeline that has external cooler and pipe union with shut-off valve; each of the latter accommodates two gas ionizers, one on each side of gas turbine. Each gas ionizer has hollow cylinder with electron source in the form of rod joined with accelerating grid. All electrodes are connected to terminal box terminals. Inner spaces of cases are filled with hydrogen held at certain pressure and used as working medium. Attached to one of extreme cases is housing or reduction unit whose drive gear is mounted on common-shaft extension. Motor shaft is coupled through carrier with movable carriage whose pinions engage drive gear and fixed gear attached to frame. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of motor. 8 dwg
